Got a suprise when I got a message recently from a friend to tell me that my ugly mush is on the cover of the Creative Irealnd supplement in the Irish Independent (10th June 2017). That is me in the top right hand corner - snapped during my recent residency in Our Lady of Fatima National School in Wexford, Ireland. The residency was awarded to me as part of the Living arts project, which is an amazing initiaive run jointly between the arts department of Wexford county council and the Wexford arts centre, in conjunction wth the Arts Council of Ireland. It is a fantastic project which gives fantastic exposure to school children within the county to contemporary art processes and practices - and gives artists such as myself valuable experience in working within the school environment- an income (which we all know is very welcome) and access to their mentoring programme. This year I was delighted to have renound Irish artist Damien Flood as my mentor.
