Oonagh is an experienced workshop facilitator/educator , with a background of working with both with adults and children of all ages and abilities. She currently works with the Arts Ability programme- a partnership between Wexford County Council and the HSE. . The Arts Ability programme is a person centred, participation focused initiative for people who experience long term mental health issues and /or intellectual disabilities. Its primary goal is to provide access to high quality creative art experiences, based on meaningful engagement between participant artists and professional artists and to support their professional development as artists.
She was awarded residencies as part of the Living Arts Project in 2014/15, 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19. The Living Arts Project is a partnership between Wexford Arts Centre and the Arts department of Wexford County Council. Its aim is to provide children with an understanding and appreciation of contemporary visual art.
Oonagh worked part time from 2010 to 2017 on the Insight education programme in Wexford Arts Centre. She has facilitated teenage and adult workshops as part of the Education and Outreach programme of the National Gallery of Ireland. She had a primary school residency as part of County Wexford Education Centre’s Teacher-Artist Partnership CPD programme. (2017) As part of the Irish Asia Festival 2018 she worked with childrens’ groups both in Creative Macau and the in the Anita Chan Lai-Ling Gallery, Hong Kong.
She is a certified Golden Artist Educator (by Golden Artist Colors NY)
